Little Green by Andrea

I have just received Andrea's very green package!  I had to pause to keep my heart from racing.
When i opened it, I found this treasure -- and then some. But you will see for yourselves when you receive Andrea's Little Green, because she went above and beyond with her theme.
This picture doesn't do Andrea's work justice. I had seen her scanned work before, but i was dumbfounded by the fineness of her art. My lines in comparison look like tire tracks. I am more intimidated than ever. And i haven't yet sent my own Moley to Gabi.

Oh, My. God. My heart is racing just looking at it! I can't imagine how I'll feel when it actually makes it all the way here. I better make sure my health insurance is up to date. Andrea - this is beyond even you. I'm absolutely speechless now.

I'm absolutely hypnotized! Looking at the little part you posted some days ago no one could have imagined this. You're great, Andrea"

*squeal* My Moley is in New Jersey! It's at France's place. How crazy is that? Thanks for the lovely words folks. Tyre tracks indeed.

*squeal too* Suzanne's Moley arrived here today (I seem to have made a weird little prediction about that, too, in my 'on the couch' drawing?!). It's fabulous and I can't believe it's here on my table. I'll take some snaps tomorrow and post them.

Miguel, thank you for setting this up. It's crazy and fabulous.

So, Gabi and Miguel are the only ones still waiting? :(

Wow! I feel a bit like an intruder writing in your blog, but this last drawing is gorgeous. I have to say it, that's it ;)

Yes, I'm waiting and tomorrow I go to Madrid till tuesday, so if the postman don't bring it before 10:00 (GMT +2) I will not be able to tell you what Juj made (and I'll bit my nails on the plane thinking I'll must wait another 5 days). Surely I will not post or write, but behave yourselves, I'll be watching you on the phone.

You know guys, i don't say i am intimidated light-heartedly: i started drawing a little something (hoping to squeeze a theme out of it in the process) in my Moley. It was a few days ago, as i was taking a break from painting our high school set (which is done, at long last). I meant to resume my drawing last night, but i received Andrea's. That was the end of that ambition right there and then. Now i am even considering buying a new zig zag Moley and starting anew.

But i also have this new house we've just bought last week and it needs painting!

Gabi, i am sorry i have been so frozen by this. It will eventually come your way.

Andrea, your art just shakes me -- seeing it in person has me wondering what the f*** i am going to do in this Moley that won't slaughter what you've done.

Atka: I love the fact people can feel free to post on this blog. If this adventure was just among the 6 of us, we wouldn't post it for everyone to see. Your presence here is everything but an intrusion! Thank you!

Hey France, I think I know how you feel. I had the same urge to go get a new one as soon as I made a mark on it. I thought, crap, this is not going to work, but I just kept drawing and fuzzed my mistakes as much as I could. I also tried to tell myself: Just draw as you do in any of the other moleskines you have. Just do it man. And I got over my trepidation that way. Take your time to send it my way, I'm in no hurry to experience the anxiety of drawing in your moley or any other one from you guys just yet ;)

Ok, so I thought I should get another Moley too, but as mine Miguel sent me mine form Italy (we don't sell them anywhere in the UK)that wasn't an option. Which was probably a good thing.

I put the tape measure in first and hated it, then the string -yuk. Luckily with my kind of drawing you can hide that sort of stuff just by throwing more and more at it! That's why it's so FULL of erm...stuff. That's just through pure anxiety.

I also thought I'd been completey predictable, and should have done something new, something different. So it seems like we all have the same anxieties. And now that Suzanne's Moley is here in my hands I'm frozen. I really want to start drawing in it but I'm worried about butchering what she has already done.

France, you could never never slaughter anything. But if it takes you some time then that's cool too.

Cheers, folks.

Oh yes, and in the inside cover of mine, Gabi, I slaughtered your surname! I got at least a couple of A's and I's in the wrong place. I knew i should have checked it before commiting it to paper. Even when I was writing it I was thinking 'hmm, this doesn't look right'. Sorry!

no way Andrea, my surname hard to spell? just kidding!!!! no big deal, i can't wait to see how you wrote it. i get mail with my name spell in all sort of funny combination of letters

Oh good. I think I've learnt how to spell it now...think!

I feel some kind of stress here about drawing on the moleys. I was a little afraid too, I don't care if we put here one of our best drawings or not, we all know what each other is able to do and I chose you all because you're my dream team. France, think that the aim of this is to have something everyone of you touched with their hands, and thought about for some time, and draw over, and put on the mail, and traveled thousand miles...

REally amazing. I've been seeing this on flickr, and there's something that makes me wonder: you've called this moley "Little green" since the leit motiv is the green color. Your first drawing has only 4 green or greenish points (as I see it): a peace symbol, a road behind you, a string and a tea bag. I don't search for particular meanings but I feel it's very you.
